6. My neighbor brought this to my attention and requested a SHOUT OUT to anyone that might be interested in helping this local charity:

"Please help make some special prom dreams come true with The Fairy Godmother Project of Music City! The Fairy Godmother Project of Music City began in 2010 as a grass-roots organization to assist students in the Nashville area who are unable to purchase their own prom attire. Students must bring proof of enrollment to receive prom attire that will make their dreams come true. This is the organization's first year and they hope to continue to grow this project through the support of community members and businesses who can donate their time and resources by cleaning out their closets, spearheading dress drives, and assisting students on 'shopping' day. The young women this organization serves are between 16 and 18 years old, and the group is committed to making sure that the clothing and accessories provided are appropriate for their age and style. It’s the founders' wish to make them feel like Cinderella in her carriage going to the ball on their special night. In order to help The Fairy Godmother's help these special girls, here is their wishlist & donation guidelines:

Wishlist:• formal gowns, bridesmaids dresses & cocktail dresses• jewelry• evening bags & handbags• evening shoes• shawls and wraps• cosmetics (unopened)• boxes & hangers• clothing racks• full-length mirrors• plastic garment bags
The Fairy Godmother Project of Music City Donation Guidelines:• Formal Gowns should be fewer than 5 years old• Dresses and shoes should be cleaned prior to sending• Dresses and shoes should be in good condition• Dresses can be long or short in length • For health and safety reasons, makeup, perfume, and lotion must be unused

8. I also have a sweet reader that has been following along on our journey for quite a while!! She has a huge heart for adoption and I can't wait to see WHERE God takes her!! She doesn't quite know WHERE she is going to adopt from (domestically or internationally), but she is starting to raise the funds either way!! I just received her shirt in the mail:
And the back of the shirt has "I will not leave you as orphans..I will come to you. John 14:18" You can find this shirt, if interested, at http://www.mufandcup.blogspot.com/ Thank you Tara for my shirt and THANK YOU for your sweet card too...there really are a lot of nice people in this world!!

MARCH 1, 2010*
Lent
“It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade." Mark 4:31-32

Do your Hear His Hope? What barriers do you experience that keep you from growing spiritually? How can those barriers be removed so that growth can freely take place?

O God, you are the Father of all humanity and the creator of all that exists. Stretch our faith and trust in you that we may branch out and become all you hope for us to be. AMEN

  11. Hi Kristi,
You don't know me, but I have been following your blog since you were on the wait list to bring LL home! A dear friend of mine is adopting two girls with Down Syndrome from the Ukraine. She already has 7 children (some with special needs) of her own. She has been trying very hard to raise funds for her girls' adoptions & is putting it all the hands of God. I shared your site with her for encouragement and I wanted to share her site with you and your readers in case there was anyone that would be willing to offer her advice and/or guidance.

    God Bless!
