First, my favorite, is her Ethiopian Glass Tile Pendant necklace!!! One side is the map of Ethiopia and the other side says "147 Million Orphans Minus ONE"!!! I now have my very own AND LOVE IT!! I have worn it every day since receiving it and have gotten LOTS of comments....Here is another pic of it:
Michelle is also selling things from this Blessing Unlimited Catalog (above) to raise money for their adoption...All orders benefit their adoption!! It is a Faithbased Greeting Card and Gifts Catalog!! I looked through it and it had some great things!! I do believe you will find the link to the catalog by visiting her fundraiser blog: http://www.michellemckinney.blogspot.com/
She is also taking orders for "other countries"...so if interested in another country besides Ethiopia on your Pendant Necklace...contact Michelle through her Fund Raising Blog: http://www.michellemckinney.blogspot.com/
She has also partnered with www.mochaclub.org and is selling these awesome tshirts to raise money for their adoption!! I have ALWAYS loved this shirt...My sister Kelly has one and I'm so excited to have one now too (pictured above)!!! This shirt speaks right to my heart..and I could do a WHOLE POST just on this one saying: "I need Africa more than Africa needs me." It is so true...Ethiopian people were some of the most gracious, happiest, kindest, most giving people I'd ever met...BUT YET they have nothing(in the eyes of the rest of the world)!! Our lives are changed forever and opened to HOW MUCH we really have and HOW MUCH we really should appreciate our own lives....and all this can be learned by visiting those less fortunate!! Ok, off my soap box...but you get it...I think this shirt is powerful and strong!!!

***Ok, so this is HOW the GIVE AWAY works!!!!! All you have to do is check out Michelle's three things she is offering and DECIDE which one you would like MOST: a pendant necklace, a new tshirt, OR $20.00 to spend in her Blessings Unlimited Catalog!!! THEN leave me a comment here on this post and LET ME KNOW which item you'd like to receive IF YOU WERE TO WIN!! It is that simple!! I will pull out three names and Michelle has graciously offered to mail the 3 winners the prize of their choice!! That simple!!! Remember you can view MORE pics of her items at her fundraiser blog http://www.michellemckinney.blogspot.com/ BUT leave me a comment here and say which prize you'd like to win the most...and i'll pull out the names Sunday night!!!
Thanks everyone for playing...and Thanks Michelle for having such a kind, generous heart!! I'm so excited to see WHO wins!!
Happy Friday to you all, kj
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him." Romans 15:13 NIV

ReplyDeleteI'm in for sure!! I L-O-V-E the tile necklace, and wouldn't it be fun to wear 2 countries--Ethiopia and India?? Go ahead and draw my name, and I'll order an India one. Great plan, right? :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for advocating for children and families, Kristy.
How nice of them in the middle of their fund raising! I love the pendants but would want another country ;)
ReplyDeleteOooh, I'd love the pendant necklace. I would love it for myself with the country of Taiwan...but Ethopia is fine too. I could give it away to a friend adopting from Ethopia!!

ReplyDeleteI would love to be entered for the t-shirt! You're video was a catalyst (one of many things) that has moved us to act now on adoption. We're starting the process to adopt from Rwanda.
ReplyDeleteMichelle and her family have a very nice give a way going on! Somebody will be very lucky to win either of her fundraising items. May God continue to bless their fundraising endeavors and future child.

ReplyDeleteI would love one of the glass pendants--if possible I'd love the back to read "minus 2" but I'm not sure if that's possible. We're adopting two little ones from Ethiopia--our dossier should be there, actually in Ethiopia next week--so excited! Thanks for all that you're doing on behalf of orphans through your blog. It has been such a blessing to me!
Love,
Amy

ReplyDeleteI'd love any of the 3... really I can't decide! :-D
ReplyDeleteWe are waiting... I'd be ready to start the process now, but my husband is in grad school and wants to wait 2 years. :-( Trusting God for His timing, not mine.

That is a great inspiration for others to use for adoption fundraising. Going to add it to our fundraising list links on the advocacy blog. Thanks for always bringing these things to light for us!!!
Love the necklace and would want to to say "minus two" on the back since I'm the lucky momma of two ET princesses... And if I don't win, I'll probably just buy one anyway!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'd love the pendant!! It's beautiful...a precious reminder of my sweet 'minus one', Micah Yoseph!!

WOW! I don't know if you all know how much you have blessed my life by your wonderful comments and feedback on our fundraiser items! Your comments have been like big warm hugs. As many of you know, the adoption journey is not easy and definitely not for the faint of heart. From challenges with chasing paperwork, raising the funds, and overcoming difficulty from family and friends who think you've lost your mind (smile), it's a tough road BUT I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have read every single comment and cherish each one. Your comments are like Jesus with skin on. It's as if He himself has reached down from heaven to give us the love and affirmation that we really needed during this season of the adoption journey.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! You mean so much to us and I pray that God continues to bless each of you as You follow His will for you and your family.
Many hugs!
Michelle McKinney
