I pray Lord that I NEVER forget WHERE she came from...And I pray and thank you Lord that you allowed us to be her parents!!! Cause the happiness on these kids faces while playing with their baby sister is simply PRICELESS to me!!!! :)
Yes, LL gets ROCK STAR treatment by her siblings about 24 hrs. a day...Her latest is to be pulled around on pillows in her wagon....Yes, she's a ham and completely spoiled and the kids love EVERY minute of it!!! She's gotten a little tired of this "princess game" (they call it)...and now just jumps out and runs and won't cooperate as much as they want her too!! :) BUT it sure was fun on the FIRST day they thought of it:
And...for all you George Fans out there...No worries...George won't be shown up for a second...He kicked her right out and declared it was HIS TURN!!! Yes, George is our "little prince" and is just as equally spoiled and rotten around here!!! :)
***I believe in my heart that there are 147 Million other Mommies and Daddies out there that feel God tugging at their heart to give a child a home....I know God has plans on blessing MILLIONS of other families in the same way HE BLESSED OURS......IS THERE A LITTLE ROCK STAR OUT THERE WAITING ON YOU???

ReplyDeleteOh how cute! Lucy Lane is rocking it as the princess! Hope that Caroline Faith will get the same "royal treatment" from her older brother and sisters one day! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE =D
ReplyDeleteThat is so precious! It looks so comfy, that I wish someone would pull me around in it. Haha!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet post. Awesome to see all the love between your children! SO GLAD that God brought LL to you and you to her! Your video was one that inspired my husband and I when God was prompting our heart to adopt! I literally sat there in tears watching your forever family day and knew beyond a shadow of a doubt ~ at that very moment ~ that adoption was PLAN A for us! It took a little while longer to hear WHEN God wanted us to pursue this blessed route (NOW!), but know that your family had a part in bringing our child/ren home to us FOREVER!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYour family is a precious inspiration to mine. We're at the very beginning of our trek to bring our baby girl home, and you sharing your family's story played no small part. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThey are so darn cute!
ReplyDeleteI love that you let them use a wagon on the hard wood floors. go mom!
ReplyDeleteOh how I LOVE reading your blog!! It makes me so happy but so sad to read it sometimes, because I long to adopt!! I think about it everyday, what seems like all day long!! My little boy prays for a baby brother or sister and I just wish I could bring one of those sweet children home with us! Please pray that God would open doors for me and allow me to begin the process to adopt! I am a single mom and I fear that is going to continue to stop me due to only having one income! God Bless you and your family for all you do for the orphans and spreading the word!!
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile. What a cutie. I read your blog before I fell asleep last night and had a dream I met Lucy, and another sweet older adopted daughter and they were hugging. I think my baby was there , too. There were lots of adopted children playing.:)
ReplyDeleteI hope many more couples and families adopt the sweet babies from Ethiopia like you did Kristi. Such a wonderful thing!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday with your beautiful little Lucy Lane!
Love, Linda @ Truthful tidbits
Oh what fun!! Love that she has her shades on too!! = )
ReplyDeleteAdorable! We brought our daughter, Charlotte, home from Ethiopia in May 2009 and she became little sister to my daughter, Sophia, and son, Etienne! Now she is about to become a big sister to twins we're waiting to adopt from Ethiopia! I'm excited to follow along on your journey!

We have to get our ten kids together at some point! I think they would have a blast!!!
ReplyDeleteWe can't wait to have "Our Rock Star" HOME soon. We are working on his bedroom now and the anticipation is killing us! This rainy season is for the birds!!!! Love this post, Kristi!!
ReplyDeleteGrace,

I definitely have had a desire to adopt a child for a very long time - particularly lately (which might be attributed to the fact I feel like I'm getting too old (41). Sadly, it doesn't look like it will happen. Most of all the sites I've been to (with regard to adopting) state that only married couples can adopt. I'm not married. It costs so much, and currently I am only a supply teacher and I don't get many hours. I'm hoping to get my own classroom some day. Also, I have a huge student loan and I fear that would also be a hindrance to adopt.
ReplyDeletewe have the same game at our house : )
ReplyDeleteWe are one of those families that God has been tugging our hearts. We have been looking into it for over a year now and praying about it everyday. Your blog is so inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through your Gotcha Day video that was linked on www.lovinmuch.blogspot.com. Adoption has always been a 'possibility' in the back of my mind because my mom was adopted as an infant and I think it is such a wonderful thing! When I watched your Gotcha, I just cried and cried. When I got to the end I sobbed. I definitely feel the tugs. Of course I would have to get my husband on board but I am excited about the possibility of adoption to add to our family of 4!
