The email said: (referring to picture below) "taken at the MD today.. he did NOT like having blood drawn. he is dehydrated which meant many attempts at getting blood…it was not a pretty sight…"Poor little guy!!! And, yes, there on my screen were 4 pictures of our little guy AT the HOSPITAL TODAY!!! So awesome to see him, but yes, also hard to hear he is STILL dehydrated...BUT what I noticed RIGHT AWAY WAS, " HE WAS SMILING IN ONE PICTURE!!"
Yes, I had held him for two days in the south...and NOT one time did he even SLIGHTLY grin at me!! He almost seemed too weak and sad to smile!! And, people I'M FUNNY...yet not one look of happiness in his eyes!! BUT...I just again trusted that SOMEDAY he would smile!! AND, today I saw his smile for the first time!! OH, and it is precious!!! I'm sure with IV's , and fluids and food and JUST being in the city for 24 hrs. , HE'S GOT TO BE FEELING SLIGHTLY BETTER!!! I don't have the doctors reports yet, hoping to have that tomorrow..and I'm assuming that he was RELEASED back to the Transition home some time today!! So, praying that tomorrow I'll hear WHAT the city doctors say about him...Just so thankful that our director was WITH him today at the hospital to give me a small report of it all!! He still has LOTS of obstacles to over come!! I'm praying AGAINST any virus or illness...cause his tiny little body just couldn't take it!! And, I'm praying for him to grow and become strong NOW that he's in the care of our agency's Transition Home!! BUT for now..I'm rejoicing in the fact that SOMETHING or SOMEONE made him SMILE....and they caught it on camera!!! :) It does a momma's heart good to see her child SMILE for the first time!!! :) And, just so ya know...malnutrition, low body weight and dehydration AREN'T his only problems going on!! There are other things TOO, so I can ONLY ASK YOU TO PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR GOD to HEAL HIS TINY LITTLE BODY!!
***Thank you ALL for your sweet comments and prayers from our last post!! I TRULY appreciate EACH and every ONE of you!!! And, I can't wait to SHARE his precious pictures some day with you all!! Will keep you all posted as I get more updates!! Happy Wednesday to you all, kj
