I SOOOO HEART Airport Miracles!!!

Yes, we've made it home safely from Atlanta...Oh, we had a GREAT time and so LOVED everything it had to offer!! What a GREAT city!!! We spent ALL DAY Friday (seriously 9 hours) at Six Flags:And, then after 9 hours at a theme park....we headed STRAIGHT for the Atlanta International say we were dirty, sweaty, exhausted, wet and nasty would be an understatement!!! BUT NOTHING could have stopped us from seeing Andrea fly in with Baby Isaac from Hannah's Hope in Ethiopia....AND....they arrived safely:It was simply another AIRPORT MIRACLE!!! It was so surreal to remember Andrea emailing ONE YEAR AGO exactly to "INQUIRE" about year later...she's home safely with her little miracle, Isaac: Oh, and he was SOOOOOO YUMMMMMMY!!!! Simply an ADORABLE baby!!! And, it didn't hurt that he was wearing matching plaid pants with his Africa Onsie!!! Just too cute!!

And, Andrea had sooooo many sweet friends there to greet them...and they had on some CUTE shirts:

I loved the fact that Andrea and her family were ALL wearing my sister Kelly's "Change The World For One" t-shirts!! Too neat!!

And, it was such a treat to meet SO many "blog" friends...A HUGE thanks to JULIE from the Flitterbug blog...She not only brought my kids "silly band bracelets", but handed out waters to my kids when they were thirsty, gave out goldfish when they were hungry, cleaned up their spills when LL spilled her water all down her front (on purpose, i might add :) and did it all with a smile on her face and watched her own 3 kids too!! :) So....THANKS Julie for helping out one tired Momma and 5 tired, fussy kiddos at 10 0'clock at night!! We all really appreciate it EVEN IF none of the kids seemed to express it last night :)!!! And, it was great meeting Melissa too from She is currently adopting a precious baby boy from Uganda!!!! Got to see his pic last night...too cute!!!

I loved finally meeting some of my fellow AGCI families too....So awesome to finally meet in person!!

And, Isaac and LL seemed to hit it off!!! I think he was looking at her in this pic and saying, "Girlfriend...what in the world did your momma put on your head??"

Such a miracle that they came from the exact same orphanage only a year apart in time!!!

Yes, we had lots of tears and fussy kids at the airport...and I'm NOT sure we quite lived up to the expectations some might have of our lovely little family...BUT...through it all...there was still time for a little LOVE!!! :)

Such a HUGE fun group to welcome them home...So fun to be a part of it!!!

And, one last pic before we hit the road HOME!! I love these homecomings more than anything....I looked at hubby and said, "Aren't you ready for a little "Isaac" in our home?" I just got that "uncomfortable" laugh as he announced it must be time to head on back to Nashville!!! :) Oh, well...the kids are on him EVERY DAY about it...he can't hold out too much longer!!!! :)
So.....WELCOME HOME BABY ISAAC!!! What a TRUE blessing you already are to your family, community and friends!!! May God continue to bless you and may HE USE YOU TO INSPIRE OTHERS TO SAY "YES" TO ADOPTION!!
**Happy Saturday to you all, kj

  1. Great photos, Kristi! I especially like the photo of every one together; a great one for Isaac's album. Thanks for sharing!!

  2. Loved all the pics. Wish we could have been there. Talked to Andrea last happy she is home. Isaac is so beautiful!

  3. Thank you so much for sharing these awesome pictures!!!!!

(I can't wait for you guys to start all over to bring home another little one!!) :P

  4. Yay! Welcome home baby Isaac. Only one year later. Incredible. Thank you Jesus.

  5. Oh how I pray to have a little Isaac or LL this time next year!

  6. wonderful post, great pics, so happy for andrea!

  7. I SO enjoy reading about these homecomings and beautiful adoption stories on your blog!! I have prayed and prayed about us adopting. I have told the Lord He is going to have to change my husband's heart about it....I get that uncomfortable laugh (like, the yeah right one) every time I mention it. So, if you want to pray for my husband, I would surely appreciate it! :)

  8. hey girl, I have a question for you! I remember awhile back you mentioned you turned all your adoption blog posts into a book. Now that we have adopted our precious son, I would love to capture all my journal blog entries into a book(s) for us to keep and for Isaac to see one day! Do you have any suggestions on where to do it and the best way to do it? Thanks so much!

  9. Precious, precious, precious!! Love seeing pics of sweet Isaac and another fun airport party!! Can't wait to follow you on your journey to your "Isaac"! :)

  10. THANK YOU Kristi for being there!!! It meant the WORLD to me to have your family and especially Lucy Lane there! You, my friend, have been there holding my hand and encourageing me for our entire passed the baton to us...and now--we pass it on to others!!! Thank you for not only being an inspiration but a DEAR FRIEND! Love you!

  11. Oh Kristi
What great pictures, such a blessing that another precious child has found his forever family. I must confess I bug my husband too, I sooo want to adopt another one. We need to pray for eachother.

  12. You guys are so awesome. I love that you are all so supportive of each other and being there when new babies are brought home. We are in the beginning stages of adopting from Ethiopia right now too but where I live (Oklahoma), we seem to be one of a kind, most people around us think it is crazy what we are doing and don't understand it so we are making it our mission to educate and hopefully make adoption more accepted, especially international adoptions. It's families like yours that has helped us do what we're doing and I thank you so much for that and would love to help in any way we can as well. Thank you for your inspiration!

Thank you for your kind words!!
