Ok...So I Tried.....

Yes, I actually tried something NEW with LL 's hair!! You see..I kind of have that "why fix it if it ain't broke" mentality....So...I LOVE the bow headbands in LL's hair...so....why try anything else?? Well, I broke down...I also totally HEART pigtails on my girls...I would still put pigtails on my 6 and 8 year old if they'd let me...but...they ONLY want ONE pony tail in the back now (some how that is much cooler than mom's pig tails )....so....I've MISSED my piggy tails...so I decided it was time to try them on my LL:

Well, she really still doesn't have THAT MUCH hair!! The girl has a fabulous thick, wonderful "mohawk" still...but the rest of her hair is STiLL growing in and is pretty short and thin!!! So, I just split the "mohawk" down the middle and gave it a try!!!! Below she is giving us her "fishy" face while sporting some "pig tails" !!! :) I took many pics of her "first time" piggies and TRIED to get used to it...but I was sooo missing that big bow on her head :) Below she gives us the side view of her pig tails:
Ok, so I am HER Momma and I could eat her up any day any time I think she is soooo precious, and I do think she is just too CUTE any old way I do her hair....but...it was time to head to the park to meet some friends....and....the bow won in the end:

ahhhhhh, I feel much better now!!! I mean...that bow is like a drug....I JUST must have it!! :) Next time I'll try big, huge bows on the pig tails...maybe that will make me feel better :)

Can she go her whole life with JUST wearing headbands with huge bows attached?? Do they come in adult sizes?? :) Happy Wednesday to you all, kj

  1. I always think her 'do with the bow is precious. I say do it as long as you can! But the piggies are cute too. Every little girl looks cute in pigtails.

  4. you're hilarious, kristi:) i love the bows too, but the piggies are adorable! ansley actually did that to nate's hair (poor little fella) the other night--he has SO much hair--perfect for pigtails, lol he looked like the cutest little girl, and the boys and daddy were having a fit to get them out asap! it was fun, though!! it's killin' me, but i think he's gonna have to have a trim soon just to even things out a bit:)

  6. Ha. I really do think both hairstyles were adorable, but you're right. . . there is just something about that big bow! :) And you have to enjoy it now while LL still allows you to do her hair. :)

  7. Oh those 1st pig tails are adorable.
But I agree the bows are her signature look!
As a first time girl Mom, I look back on my Lucy's baby photos and realize I was FAR too conservative with the size of her bows! Wish I had know you then for some proper hairbow etiquette!
Either way you slice it ... Lucy Lane could never look anything but precious!

  8. My word, that girl is so stinking cute. It took all my willpower not to scoop her out of her stroller at the park on Sunday and love on her. She's a celebrity at our house, you know.

Great to see you and catch up for a minute!!

  14. Piggies are my husband's favorite so Havi sports them often, and you can do both the piggies and the bows. I am like you, though, in that I love to let Havi's hair just "be".

  17. She is adorable enough to "do" the big bow!
It's funny about the mohawk. My little Keshawn's hair is like that also. Someone told me to cut it and even it up, but I don't want to because his hair is so adorable right now...soft and curly...I love it.

  21. I am with you! I love little piggies on all little girls. Unfortunately they grow out of them but they are so CUTE.

I have a feeling you will be doing LL's in piggies all the time this summer. Enjoy while it last.

Thank you again so much for your encouragement...our family has just begun the process with Gladney and we are so excited, if a bit nervous too! Cannot wait to see what God has for us! I LOVE visiting your site, and your family is such an inspiration to me!
