As most of you already know, my sister Kelly is working her self to death over at http://www.ordinaryhero.org/ to get the flood victims of Nashville back on their feet....Here is a GREAT video she just put together with just SOME of the stories she is currently involved in...AMAZING...and it will leave you feeling SO GRATEFUL!!! Thank you for posting this as a reminder for how we can help, but also of how temporary the “stuff” we have is. There are basic needs we all have, but we can do with so much less. I walked around my house and looked at all the things “from the counter tops-down” and wondered how it would be if it was all washed away! As we proceed with our adoption and make choices to cut back on the things we “want” we are reminded that our money should be used to help others as they witness the “hands and feet of Christ” at work. Your sister has such a heart for the hurting people of this world! Julie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful video ~ it got me when the grandma got her princess dresses back, and the final scoop load of the other woman's belongings....while the background shows her neighbors' piles waiting for their turn. Heartbreaking. Thank you for sharing.
