Such A GOD Story....

Ok...so try and follow this VERY cool story!! This is SUCH AN AWESOME GOD STORY....

****OK, so rewind about 7 months...I had just gotten home from Africa with Lucy lane and took her for a doctor visit at our local pediatrician!! I remember standing with LL and waiting our turn (while I'm sure my many other children ran circles around me)!! So, there is another mother with 4 boys leaving as I was entering!! She comments on HOW cute she thinks LL is and I said something along the lines of, "Looks like you could use a girl...You need to head on over to Ethiopia and adopt you one" (ok, so that might NOT have been my exact words, but you get the drift). I apparently give this mother of 4 boys my blog and ON I WENT NEVER TO THINK OF HER AGAIN!!!

***Ok, fast forward about 6 months....It was MLK day last week, so the hubby and I took the 5 kiddos bowling for the day!! I even blogged about HOW COOL IT WAS that this dad approached us and said HE AND HIS WIFE READ OUR BLOG and were now adopting with AGCI too!! I thought it was so cool, I came home and blogged about it...you can read that by clicking HERE!! Anyways..I give him my cell phone number to give to his wife and really don't' think much more about it...just neat that someone would walk up to us and let us know that they too were adopting now!!

***Ok, so here is the REALLY cool part...My cell phone rings a few days ago and when I answer, it is the wife to the guy from the bowling alley!! We chat a second AND then she says..."Well, I've actually met you before.....I'm the girl from the doctors office about 7 months ago that you talked to and said 'you should adopt a baby girl'!!" I was shocked..i had no idea that the guy from the bowling alley's WIFE was the same person from the doctors office 6 months prior!! She went on to tell me that she DID go home that day and looked at my blog and watched our video and WHAM..they agreed to pray about it over the next 6 months...and the 6 months came and went and they agreed they were to adopt and were working on all the paper work!!

***So, here's the REALLY neat GOD MOMENT: This wife had sent her hubby to the bowling alley with their 4 boys so she could get the rest of the paper work mailed off and ready that day!! She said she was sitting in her car stressing saying, "Oh, my gosh..are we doing the right thing God?" WHEN A TEXT CAME IN AT THAT VERY MOMENT FROM HER HUBBY SAYING HE HAD JUST MET US AT THE BOWLING ALLEY AND THAT HE HAD GOTTEN MY PHONE NUMBER FOR HER!! Ok, so here is this wife nervous and stressing about this big final decision as they were mailing off their paper work AND she gets a text at that moment from her hubby because he had just run into us at the bowling alley!! The same crazy woman (me) that was bold enough to TELL HER she needed to adopt 6 months prior at the doctors office IS THE ONE PERSON her hubby runs into the day they were mailing off their final documents!! Such a God thing!!! That was her SIGN she needed and she felt an ease with it all and MAILED IN HER PAPER WORK!!! ONE LESS ORPHAN!!! Praise God!!

***Ok, so hope you could follow that...I just thought it was SO NEAT, i had to get it written down somewhere before I forgot it!!! Now, I just need a pic of them or something to go with this post!! :) LOL!! So, welcome aboard H family...I know I speak for a lot of people here when I say, "it will be the most amazing journey of your life"!!!

The moral of the story: Be careful of WHAT you say, because people might actually be listening!!!! :) Happy Wednesday to you all, kj

I am nervous about the trip and wanted to see if you would pray for us too!!! If you go to my blog, you can see my adorable baby girl: Yohanna! www.gdalmquist.blogspot.com/

  18. How awesome is our God?! He knows exactly where to place us when we need to be there. Your life with LL is such a blessing and testimony. You know, we look at statistics and think if 7% of professing Christians adopted it would solve the orphan crisis.... I honestly don't think it would take 7% just from the example your family has set. It's awesome to read the stories of how your lives have inspired others, but think of all the ones that go unspoken but have been blessed by you. Thank you Lord for building families like Kristi's. Thank you Lord for children like LL.

She is so so beautiful and her smile melts my heart. God bless her. I have one adopted daughter from Guatemala and 5 boys, and I am praying that the Lord opens the door to another adoption for us.
