***Ok, so here are some pics from our Christmas morning at home:
(pics have been deleted for safety reasons)
A pic with my Dad and all my sisters....It is me on the end at 35, then Kasey at 33, my Dad, then Karson prego at 30, and Kelly at 36. And, i didn't get a pic of my mom who hosted us all...Sorry Mom...we SO appreciate you having us all over!! (Yes, my Dad still comes to my mom's house for Christmas even though they divorced when I was like 5 or 6 :)
*****We laughed a lot and enjoyed way too much food and then grabbed some coffee and headed home!! We basically cleaned house all day today, but stopped for a minute to grab some dinner out....I took this one pic below from dinner tonight....George was being such a ham...He wouldn't leave LL's side and kept smiling that HUGE smile so i'd keep taking pics of him next to her....LL thought it got a little OLD!!! :)

****Ok, so forget all that I just showed ya...Do you want to witness the TRUE MEANING of Christmas....Check out this video below that my sister Kelly made....She organized another apartment for a former "homeless" woman and her MANY children this Christmas...The story is amazing!! She showed up last year on Christmas Day bearing gifts to give this family to find that the mom was busy cooking dinner for the kids AND THAT WAS THEIR GIFT!! She only had enough money to make them a Christmas meal....SO, this year, they are in a new apartment after being back at the shelter for a while AND she and her kids just moved in and never got organized or unpacked because she was 9 months pregnant....Kelly lets her know that she and her team of elves will be there on Wednesday to organize her new apartment for her, but the MOm goes into labor and misses it all...Well, during the day Kelly is at her apartment, the baby is born BUT BORN SICK!! It requires surgery right away and there Kelly is at her apartment with all her other kids as they hear the news about the baby and they stop and PRAYED FOR THE NEW BABY with all the other siblings left at home!! It was just one of those God moments where my sister and her crew show up at the exact right time and God uses them to comfort and protect those other children at home that were left worried and crying for their new baby...so neat!!! (and not to mention that her new apartment was left looking fabulous :) (you'll want to pause my music to hear hers)
**Helping others is truly what IT'S all about!!! Hope you all had a blessed Christmas...AND, happy Saturday to you all, kj

Let Christ be born in me. Creating God, all things came into being through you. Bring new life into being inside of me, that I may better reflect your hope, your love, and your grace to those around me. Let Christ be born in me today. AMEN
What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life-- and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us-- what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete. John 1:1-4 "

Merry Christmas Johnson family!!! It does looks like a GREAT day (minus the vomit in the van... I am with your hubby... I HATE messes in my van). :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing video! The work you and your sister do, so honors our Lord:)
ReplyDeleteGod Bless You!!!
I have to tell you I haven't been able to read anything on your blog because the flowers are all over my screen. Is anyone else having this problem. I miss reading about your family and seeing all the cute pictures.
ReplyDeleteHey, Amy...I sent your comment to my blog designer Jenn to see if she knew what the problem was...She's great at that kind of stuff, so maybe she can figure it out for me. You're the first person to say they're having this problem, but I'd guess there are many others if your computer is throwing flowers all over the screen...thanks for letting me know, kristi
ReplyDeleteloved looking at all the pics but thanks most of all for showing us that video! How touching! how wonderful! Loving and giving...such wonderful Christ like things to do!
ReplyDeleteDrying my tears from the video..what a tremendous gift you gave. Prayers that the littlest member of that family will be joining them at home soon! Love the story of the 'mani-van' and the big pile of trash...thanks for sharing your less glamorous moments, too. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHey, I love the messy pics...reminds us all that we need to be human :) Oh...nasty, Abigail did that to us after having strawberry milk one time....so it was pink projectile!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you all have a great Christmas even with the puke. That is a true family :)
Hooray it's fixed. Now I have some serious catching up to do. Ha!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Love how you can totally adjust and see the humor in any situation...even puke!
ReplyDeleteGirl, I need you in my life! :)
