Oh..Hurt Me Cute...Her Christmas Outfit Arrived.....

Yes, it's true...My LL's Official 2010 Christmas Outfit arrived in the mail yesterday..and we had it on TODAY!! I just must share this cuteness with yall:
I took my two littles to Kentucky today to support a fundraiser my sister Kasey was putting on....It was a Shopping for a Cause Fundraiser...so I thought LL MUST show off her NEW outfit for this GRAND event !! :)
I went by my sister's house first to heat some food and let George and LL play a bit before the fundraiser began...I got LL dressed and snapped a few pics:Ok, Ok...so the TOP question I got ALL night TONIGHT was: "Wear did you get that oufit??" So...here goes....

I ordered this from www.flitterbugs.blogspot.com Julie J. sews like crazy over on her blog to RAISE money for their own adoption!! I love this family and actually got to meet them in person this summer!! She is SO talented..and NOT ONLY is the outfit adorable..but it held up while LL played outside, rolled on the floor of the fundraising event and did flips on the ground all night!! :) How did LL feel about her new outfit:
LL LOVED her outfit..and at the NEW age of 2..she already has opinions about WHAT she wants to wear and WHAT bows she wants in her hair..seriously!! :)
And, yes, my child is the craziest, funniest gal alive!!! She is SUCH a ham:
George and Lucy were like the "Wonder Twins" all night!! They ran me wild at this event!! They were under every table, wrestling each other until they cried they laughed so hard, knocking things over, spilling food and drinks, getting soaked in the water fountain...just being my perfectly wonderful 2 and 3 yr. old loves!!!! :)
I can't imagine my life without these two running me WILD!!! They feed off one another..and you'd think at 8:30 at night and a long hr. drive back home, they'd fall asleep and be quiet...NO...not these two...they were loud, singing, laughing, screaming, throwing paci's the entire way home!! :) You can only laugh at these two...cause every time you look back, they are making faces at each other cracking up!!! :)

ok, so back to the outfit...I seriously LOVE it Julie!!! It is so cute and everyone I saw tonight wanted to know where it came from....And, I won't even mention the EXTRA treat you threw in...so cute...thanks a million...
And, one pic from my sister's fundraiser....Sister Kasey on right..then my mom in middle, then LL , then my MIL - Jules on the left!!! thanks everyone for coming out tonight to support my little sis:

And, jump on over and check out Julie at www.flitterbugs.blogspot.com and see if she might be able to make your little cutie something this season...Tell her "kristi" sent ya...and YOU want an "LL outfit"...Ok, just kidding...you can order anything you want :) and remember..it goes to support her own adoption..so we ALL win here!! :)

**Happy Monday to you all, kj

A Visit With Miracle Maggie, Cookies, Turkey's, and a great video

I was so excited to get to go up to the Children's Hospital last night to visit with Gwen and sweet Maggs!!! This child is seriously a walking miracle. To think of WHAT she has been through in her short life time...and that she sits happy, climbing around and WITH NO PAIN MEDS is beyond amazing!! That sweet child had an incision on her head big enough to make the rest of us NEVER want to get out of bed again...and yet, she was happy, her normal playful, silly self and smiling from ear to ear!! :) You can read their story by visiting Gwen's blog www.oatsvallteam.blogspot.com Please keep Maggie in your prayers so she can come home quickly..... Love me some Maggie Oatsvall:
**We're also FINALLY done decorating for Christmas...it took us a week...but hey, it's all up and done now...so we're sittin back now enjoying some Christmas cookies (lots of them :) and other yummy baked goods my kids beg me to make this time of year:**And, one last random pic I wanted to post last week..but ran out of time....Yall know we have some crazy "animal" sightings in our back yard....AND, no, we don't live in the country..smack dab right in the middle of town..yet...wild animals like to come out around our home ALL THE TIME...I won't mention the deer incident again...If you missed that one...well...you'll have to go back a month or so to find it...yuck!!! And, we see fox, wild cats, coyotes, raccoons, etc. all the time..... BUT on Thanksgiving Eve...I opened up my front door to see this:There were about 20 WILD Turkey's running through my front yard....I ran back in for my camera....by the time I got back, they were in the neighbor's back yard....so I just kept chasing them and snapping pics...Just thought it was so funny to see them on Thanksgiving Eve....I wonder if they became anyone's lunch the next day??? :)

Ok...so that's all the randomness I have for tonight... Check out this great video...I think this family is so well spoken and the video is full of great info...I'd sound so country and full of "ums" if I was trying to make a video..so I admire anyone that can talk this well and get her point across so beautifully....enjoy...and Happy Sunday to you all:

Happy Thanksgiving 2010...

This Thanksgiving was just like the rest..I ate so much I thought I would POP....BUT we still managed to find time for a few cute pics to remember this 2010 Thanksgiving Holiday.....And, here we are:
(this year we have Helen 8, Julia 7, Hal 5, George 3 and Lucy lane 2....and Mom and Dad barely hangin on to our thirties :)
**We went to Kentucky to celebrate Turkey Day at my Mom's House.....She has this great front porch that I had to use for a couple of pics before entering the house:
LL's Thanksgiving Dress is by Poppy Dip!! I won it recently at an auction..and I saw the little Indian girls on it and KNEW it would be her Thanksgiving dress...I've always loved this fabric by Poppy Dip...and I'm so excited to have a dress in it now for LL....Everyone else seemed to think she looked adorable in her new dress too:
My mom has this cool old house she re-did...and the kids like to explore in her back yard:
The cousins started to arrive so we snapped a pic together outside...my kids love their cousins:
My twin girls born 21 months apart (we seriously get asked every day IF they are twins :) had fun in their turkey hats:

Caught LL again with the camera (imagine that :):
You can tell that one of the kids had the camera and snapped this next picture...Yall probably don't see my hair down very often...the hubby called and made me a hair appt (since I wouldn't ever get around to doing it...and it had been a year since it had been trimmed :) and on Thanksgiving Eve I got my hair trimmed for the first time in a LONG TIME!! :) thanks hubby...that was a treat:
My Hal and Cousin Nathan always have fun together:
Cousin William ALWAYS runs for the Turkey Leg first:
A pic of my mom and dad and their 4 daughters:
Big Sister Kelly with her oldest Daughter, Lauren....These TWO are my travel buddies in less than TWO WEEKS...ahhhh...can't believe it:
My grandparents (my mom's parents) are still alive and kickin...so great to still have them around:
The 4 sisters...Kasey, Me, Kelly and Karson (do you see LL hangin on my leg LOL ) :
A shot with my Dad and his girlfriend (my parents divorced when I was very young...fyi) Notice LL again :) :
A pic of my plate....or TWO plates if you're countin:
The Baby currently in the fam...Baby Drew...Karson's youngest...so cute...it's always good to still have babies in the fam:
And, the woman responsible for all this food...My mom:
and her brother, Ron, of course too. These two are roomates and Mom makes the BEST Thanksgiving food in the WORLD!! Her dressing had just come out of the oven when I had to take a pic...Thanks Mom and Ron for having us ALL!!! I know you worked VERY hard to put this on for our GiGANTIC Family!! Please know we are ALL very appreciative and the FOOD was wonderful as always!!!!!

***So, much to be thankful for....Still praying for those cutie waiting children in my last post....Don't stop praying for them...I know SOMEONE will step forward for them....God doesn't intend for them to be alone the rest of their lives.....

Counting my MANY blessings....Hope you all had a wonderful holiday too...and Happy Friday to you all, kj

On This Thanksgiving Eve...Children That Wait....

Tonight it is Thanksgiving EVE!! I have SO VERY MUCH to be thankful for this year!! This is Lucy Lane's 2nd Thanksgiving home, my children are healthy and strong, I have a wonderful, hard working husband that provides for us all, I have shelter and enough food and warmth to share with many!! BUT...so many children in our world are going to bed HUNGRY with out even their basic NEEDS met tonight....and that is something that is NEVER far from my mind!!

**As I woke this morning and fell onto the couch with all my kids around me SO EXCITED and happy to have NO SCHOOL today.....I know millions of children wait and beg for the opportunity to attend ONE DAY of school:
**As I announced for everyone to get dressed..I was taking them all somewhere fun to eat breakfast:
Millions more will grow large extended bellies from months and years of malnourishment and hunger:
**As my children ooh and aahh over the "make your own" pancake place mommy found:Millions more will be forced to endure ANOTHER day with NO food for breakfast and NO food all day:
**As my children lick the bowl clean of chocolate chips and m&m pancakes....
Millions of children will NOT make it another 24 hours due to hunger:
**As my children wear their Power Ranger costumes to eat out and ask for seconds of their delicious pancakes:Millions of children that look just like my Lucy Lane don't have basic clothing to cover their bodies and basic nutrition to keep them strong:
**And as my children think I'm the BEST Mommy in the world for finding such a cool place for breakfast:
Millions more will lose their Mommies today due to sickness, preventable disease, poverty and BASIC starvation!! And, then they too will be given a new label...a label....a name that is used for 147 million other children in our world: ORPHAN!!

***So, what can be done about this?? I certainly don't HOLD all the answers....but I know MORE can be done...by each and everyone of us!! Tonight I share all this with you because I know ONE answer!! It is NOT the ONLY answer for the orphan crisis in this world....but it DOES change the world for that ONE CHILD!!! And, I can promise you ONE THING....IT DOES MATTER TO THAT ONE CHILD!!

**Tonight I want to share with you CHILDREN THAT ARE STILL WAITING...WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO CHOOSE THEM:

AGCI: (fyi..these are NOT pics of ACTUAL WAITING CHILDREN...I am NOT allowed to post those...these children represent the AGE and CULTURE of the children described:)
*Waiting Child profile: b055 "E"- boy born in 1997. He has a beautiful smile, he is active and healthy and developmentally on track. Lets pray his family to him.
(not picture of actual child)
* Waiting Child profile: B062 "M" - girl born in 1998. She is healthy and there are NO health concerns. She has adorable pig tails in and is beautiful. What breaks my heart is....She is a full orphan and her younger siblings were placed for adoption first and they found a loving family. She was placed at a later date..and she still waits. Lets help find this young girl a family too!!
*Waiting Child Profile: B061 "T and A" - Beautiful sisters that STILL WAIT!! They were born in 1998 and 2000!! They have lost both of their parents and are both healthy and on track developmentally. It is said they long for a family to build a future with and a place to call home. Both are described as being wonderfully sweet and happy. These sisters have waited long enough in an orphanage...lets help them find their forever family.
(not picture of actual child)
*Waiting Child Profile: B067 - Adorable "T"..Girl born in 2002. I've advocated for her before. She has just turned 8 years old. She is a full orphan and is healthy and on track developmentally. She has a beautiful smile and just needs a family....Do you have one?? She is described as a social butterfly.
(not picture of actual child)
**And NEW to Hannah's Hope Orphanage - Waiting Child Profile: B068 "G and M" The cutest brothers EVER!! They are said to be 8 and 4!! And, they are handsome, handsome, handsome!! They are healthy and on track developmentally. They are said to love each other very much and are VERY close!! Oh, I know someone could give them a good home...is it YOU??

**AGCI STATES: For further information on any of these children, including the possibility
of videos, please contact the Inquiry Department at (800) 214-6719 or
<mailto:inquiry@allgodschildren.org> inquiry@allgodschildren.org.

To move forward with an adoption, we ask that no children currently in the
home be less than ten months older than the adopted child and would prefer
to place with a family that has experience parenting children beyond the
waiting child's age. Parents must be between the ages of 23 and 55 years of
age. Please see country criteria for complete requirements, which can be
found online at our website:
http://www.allgodschildren.org/adoption/ethiopia/.

****As I'm so full tomorrow that I think I might POP...these children won't be far from my mind. I vow to pray for each and every one of them until they find a home. Will you join me?? They deserve that from us!! I am thankful tonight for ALL OF YOU that share the same compassionate heart for the fatherless....TOGETHER we can MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!! I've seen it happen before!!

**Happy Thanksgiving to you all...kj

5 HH Babes and a Prayer Request (and a shout out for my little sis)

Yes, my day started off with 5 Hannah's Hope Babes at my home for a little get together to visit with Andrea, who just happened to be in town:
Yes, we SO attempted a pic of all 5 children from Hannah's Hope orphanage in Ethiopia TOGETHER...but they weren't quite cooperating for us:
And, well...these were the best pics we could get:
It's so fun getting together with all these moms and their kids....My George especially loves Sam G.... Sam's only been home 3 months and he and George hit it off right away:
Lucy Lane was busy all day "bossing" the babies around...Here she is telling Isaac to "not open the bib drawer"...She is totally copying me cause I'll put my leg up against the drawer so she can't open it sometimes when I can't bare picking up 100 bibs all over the floor again....and she did the same exact thing to Baby Isaac...so funny:
LL and Andrea's Frank had fun together too:
And here is Andrea herself...loving on Maggie, who belongs to the famous Gwen from 147 million orphans:
Joseph and Daisy had fun playin in the mess of toys too:
Rachel stopped in so Sadie could see her HH friends:
Andrea and Gwen:
And, here is the miracle baby himself...Baby Isaac:
He's saying below, "talk to the hand people...I know I'm cute and famous and all...but please...can't a brother get a moment of peace around here!!" :
Amy came by too with Baby Elijah...he is so yummy cute...I loved this pouty face of his:
And, PLEASE keep this brave girl in your prayers tomorrow...She is undergoing a MAJOR surgery...hopefully the FIRST of TWO..so she can fully be healed and free of her hat :) (Gwen is so sick of these hats :) Maggie had just gotten in from her Thanksgiving feast at school...
And, look what the back of her costume said:
You are JUST THAT Sweet Maggie...a STRONG BEAR!!! Not only are you loved by your family, but you are loved by your entire community too....We're already praying sweet Mags!!! :)

***and P.S. If you happen to live any where near my little sis, Kasey...Her friends are putting on a shopping night to benefit her adoption from Ethiopia...It's going to be THIS coming Monday night:

**That's all for today...Happy Tuesday to you all, kj
